How to organize your fundraising for GAMS Belgium?
You can organize a fundraising campaign in various ways, depending on what suits you best:
Sport challenge
Participate in a race, a marathon, or set yourself a personal sporting challenge with a goal of distance or duration.
Invite your friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor your challenge.
School project
Each year, your school comes together for a project. Why not choose GAMS this year and aim for a project that focuses on youth and the prevention of FGM? Discuss it at your school and set up a fundraising page.
Product sale
Set up a sale of baked goods, handmade jewelry, clothing, or any other products for GAMS Belgium.
Corporate Challenge and Team Building
Do you want to engage your team and colleagues around a meaningful project? Launch a personalized fundraising page for your company and start raising funds for a project that your team cares about.
Key life events
Do you have everything you need for the baby and want their birth to support a cause that protects children? Or perhaps you want to commemorate your wedding or wedding anniversary by contributing to a good cause?
Invite your family and friends to contribute to this key moment in your life.
Event
Organize a party, a dinner, a concert, or any other social event. Ask your guests for a financial contribution and explain to them that the funds raised will go to our cause.

Inspiring projects
Discover several projects that have already achieved their goals thanks to the generosity of our donors. Each project represents a collective victory, enabling us to carry out concrete actions and move towards a world without female genital mutilation. These initiatives, which have reached their goals, are shining examples of what solidarity can accomplish. We warmly thank everyone who has contributed.
700 km for GAMS Belgium
Alone, but driven by her determination, Valérie Hick, from Verviers, covered the Empire State Trail to Brooklyn in a week. She turned this extraordinary adventure into a wave of solidarity by raising €1,500, which covers a month of expenses for the GAMS Belgium office in Verviers.
The 20 km of Brussels
On May 26, 2024, during the 20 km of Brussels, the team from the Molenbeek Local Mission rallied enthusiastically to support a cause close to their hearts. With great energy and solidarity, its members completed the 20 km and successfully raised €560 for GAMS Belgium. A wonderful example of collective commitment!
InciSioN Belgium
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to InciSioN Gent, a student group dedicated to ensuring safe surgical access for all, who organized an event in support of GAMS Belgium. Through their initiative, they raised €150.75 to support our efforts in the fight against female genital mutilation. A big thank you for their commitment and solidarity!
