Jessica graduated in Interpretation and then began a North-South postgraduate. In 2012, she went to Guinea for her internship for the association Aniké that works on women and children health and rights, amongst others. During her internship, she helps setting up a project on awareness rising about FGM in Kankan. Since then, she has been volunteering in this organisation.
When she came back to Belgium in 2013, she started working for GAMS Belgium. She worked as an executive assistant during one year, and then joined the team of Flanders as a project officer. She was responsible for developing the toolbox with educational material. Today she coordinates the functioning of peer educators in Flanders. She graduated in Social Work in 2018 and works in the social service of GAMS.
